I just got my truck back from the shop. 65 J-3000 Tornado 4 on the floor. I had new bearings and king pins put in the front axle, bearings in the rear and a little brake work. She drives straight now, go figure. I have not had it very long. It had been parked for 20 years. It was 1 below zero this morning and she fired right up without an engine heater. Now I get to work out the smaller stuff like brake lights that work etc. I did all the tune up, fluid changes, hose replacement and new tires before it went to the shop.
Does anyone know if there is a good electronic ignition for the Tornado? Preferably one that uses my original distributor. I will try to post some pics.

Yes, that is actually from my outboard boat. It was plumbed in because the fuel tank in the truck had been without a cap for ?? 20 years or so. I plumbed it in to fire up the truck and well it ran great and with out a good tank, it is hard to get any where. So.... until I can get a new poly tank sent to me, it is strapped down fairly well to the winch. The front bumper sticks out over a foot to hold the winch.
Also there are only 20 miles of road here so that 6 gallons last for a week or better. She tops out at 45 MPH, also there is not a lot of traffic to worry about.
